Though in our 10th Anniversary year as a group, the original members of the team started working individually in
the tourism and luxury transportation industries some years before. Some 28 years before, in the case of our
most senior driver/guide, Richard. (Sorry Richard!) Whilst experience has a major part to play within our company, so
has our in-depth, on-going training and development programme for all members of the Discovery team.
At Discovery we also encourage the use of technology to enhance the services we provide
to our clients. For example, every single journey booked with us has a designated member of our support team to check for
information on-line for travel announcements, roadworks and events that may cause an unnecessary increase in journey
time. All Airport arrivals are tracked from when they take off, so there is never any need to worry if the Driver meeting
you at the airport knows that you have landed early/late. There will always be a Driver in the terminal for you when your
plane lands.
Experience and technology are important factors in our success, but equally important is having a good planning
structure. We do ask for as much advance notice as possible on all bookings, to give us the time to make the best preparation,
and also to connect our clients with the best possible Driver or Driver/Guide for the task specified, with the vehicle
best suited for the journey, Luxury Private car or Luxury MPV.

Discovery Luxury Private Tours was founded in 1999, in response to the many requests that we received from
families and small groups, for private, bespoke tours to places such as Hampton Court Palace, Stonehenge or Bath.
When there, they are free to explore at their own pace, and with their own agenda. As opposed to long coach
trips with 50 others, with a rigid, inflexible itinery. So in came the first prestige luxury tour
car, a Jaguar XJ, then the BMW 7 Series. We now have a fine fleet of spacious, luxury cars. We also
have Mercedes and Chrysler Grand Voyager luxury MPV`s, for up to six passengers.
With our extensive knowledge of London and the UK, added to our presentation and professionalism,
quite soon we began to receive requests for private and business driving services. We are proud to say that
we now have two departments in our HQ, for our many private clients, and a number of business
clients, such as the BBC, ITV, and Channel4.
